The initial pilot for Safe at Home was conducted in La Porte ISD and Houston ISD in 2006.  For the past three years, our sponsors have been watching the enthusiastic growth and effective use of Safe at Home in an expanded pilot test in nearly 100 Houton area schools.  The impact of the program on student understanding of both the science and the safety content has been impressive, clearly demonstrating that the SAH program works well!  Just like schools, the SAH sponsors are data driven.  The SAH evidence of student growth and parent participation has attracted additional sponsors.  Starting in January 2011 Safe at Home will be provided to schools in 17 states.

For more details about the impressive Safe at Home record of student learning, check out the white paper report, Safe at Home/Safe at School Pipeline Safety Program.  Pipeline safety experts at the local, regional and even national levels have expressed interest in expansion of the Safe at Home program as a result of the evidence presented in this document.
